Happy Hour at Superior Grill

Yeah, we burned the candle at both ends Friday evening. After working my butt off Friday Boo and I managed to get to the Superior Grill with 15 minutes left on “happy hour”, just in time to get our happy hour double margaritas, of which even I only need one. Our drinks secured we went for the guacamole in addition to the salsa sauce and tortilla chips that are presented when you are seated. The guacamole was all avocado, fresh, creamy but still textured with solid bits of the rich green flesh. It was good and well prepared but paled in comparison to the stuff Boo makes with onions, tomatoes and cilantro in addition to the avocado.

My favorite and what I ordered were the Mesquite Grilled Chicken Enchiladas, and it was simple and delicious. Actually anything on the menu that has the Mesquite grilled chicken is going to be delicious as we discovered some time back with the chicken fajitas. Tender, juicy, delicious, obviously marinated and then grilled to perfection chicken breast even in the enchiladas where many Mexican restaurants use shredded less expensive dark meat. Our young Latino waiter was really on it and added to our enjoyment of a really tasty and satisfying meal... and those double margaritas.
