There is a class of musician in New Orleans
who only play with the best. Shannon Hamilton is a drummer in that class.
Extremely demanding vocalist, and instrumental soloist will do their best
to have Shannon Hamilton keeping time. Shannon can hold up the funkiest
funk, and then settle into most delicate cymbal accents for a soft and
slow jazz ballad, its called "touch", and he has it.
He also adds an additional dimension to sets where he is supporting a vocalist, by doing harmonic background vocals even as he plays the drums. On some sets he may even sing a lead. If Shannon is on the set you can reasonably assume that its a top notch group of performers and you will probably really enjoy the show. |
