What can you say, He's a Marsalis, child of Ellis and Delores. On trombone he has few peers in the world. Delfeayo is a global talent who has based himself in his home town, and while classically trained, Delfeayo 's Jazz performance usually "taste" like New Orleans.
He is accomplished as a composer, orchestra leader and grammy winning record producer. He has chosen to headquarter himself in his home town and because of that performs here regularly. He has organized the Uptown Jazz Orchestra that sounds a lot like it's name. Makes me think of "Cotton Club", but New Orleans style. http://www.delfeayomarsalis.com |
